Introduction Autel Evo II – 8K and 48/MP Camera
If you have been linked to this section by accident or by searching for the Attel Evo 2 drone purchase, here we will introduce the Atel Evo II drone, which is the initial version of the Atel Evo II series.
As aerial photography and videography is expanding dramatically, many companies are working daily to add new capabilities to the drone and give it the power to be active in more areas. In this regard, Atel has taken strong steps in this field in the last few years by producing several professional drones, including the Evo Nano, Evo Lite and Evo 2 series, and the strangest of all, the Dragonfish series drones with extraordinary flight time.
Evo II is one of the drones that offers 8K videos and 48MP images with a small 1/2.3 inch sensor. Evo 2 is the original version of Evo II series drones. Evo II Pro and Evo II Dual Thermal are two other products that have been launched with the same design and different cameras.
Folding design with instant assembly
If we want to mention the important features of Autel Evo II, the folding and portable design of this product is seen at the top of them. The use of folding arms has been fashionable for several years, and as you can see, many manufacturing companies use this style to produce their professional products. For the first time in 2017, DJI’s Mavic series brought such a design style to drones.
Autel Evo II also uses this design so that you can easily fold it up and carry it in a small space after each time of fly and filming within a few seconds. The orange color gives you the assurance that this product is from Autel company. The takeoff weight of this quadcopter is 1127 grams, which is much heavier than its competitor, the DJI Air 2S.
The flight time is admirable
One of the most important features of Atel Evo 2, which has increased the percentage of users’ attention, is 40-minute flights with a 7100 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. This battery has an intelligent low charge warning that alerts you to return the drone home if needed. The RTH function or smart return to home is enabled for you, when you receive a notification of low charge or any other thing that threatens the flight, you can easily press this button and return the drone to home. The hovering time of the drone with this lithium battery is 35 minutes.
Obstacle detection sensors from all directions
12 computerized obstacle detection sensors are included for the Attel Evo II to easily detect any obstacle from a distance of 30 meters. Since the Autel Evo II quadcopter has a high flight speed and its maximum speed is 72 km/h, it is more likely to crash. If you are a beginner pilot and experience flying for the first time, having an obstacle detection system is important for you, because it helps you to easily identify obstacles and protect your aircraft from any danger. Before Atel, DJI has brought obstacle detection technology to quadcopters. Of course, for Atel Evo II, you can disable this feature and enjoy the maximum speed outdoors.
9 km flight range
Another important feature of the Autel Evo 2 and any other drone that you will definitely pay more attention to when buying is the flight range. Of course, you need such a signal range less in urban areas, but in open and suburban areas, there are many subjects that you can film from far away. Atel Evo II video transmission range is 7 km with a strong signal.
The Evo 2 remote control has a 330 nit OLED screen. With a working frequency of 2.4 GHz and an internal battery of 5000 mAh, which weighs only 370 grams. Of course, it has a simpler design than the Evo II Pro controller, and it doesn’t have that colorful screen. The mobile phone holder is placed on top of the controller, where you can easily install all the smart phones in the market.
Hand control mode and voice command
Autel has also tried to provide you with additional options by adding Gesture Control and Voice Command. It will first recognize you if you hold your hands above your head for a few seconds, then take a picture if you hold them straight out, or video if you hold one hand up. After your pose, the drone will flash its lights as a confirmation and allow you to pose. It works well, but seems a bit gimmicky at times.
In addition to manual control mode, you can control the drone by voice command. When voice command is active, a microphone icon appears at the bottom left of the screen and you can do commands like “start recording” or “take off”, but it’s much easier to do these things with the control sticks. Hopefully eventually commands will be added that allow you to adjust the video resolution or actually save time hunting for the menu.
